Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 4, 2026

Food Facts Daily ("we") publishes short food-information videos and is building a food scanner app. This policy covers two things: the app waitlist on this website, and the internal publishing tool that posts our videos to social media accounts we own.

App waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we store:

To limit abuse, we keep a one-way hash of your IP address for up to 24 hours to count sign-up attempts. It is not linked to your email and is then deleted.

We use your email only to tell you when the app is available and about major updates to it. We do not sell, rent or share it, and we do not use it for advertising. It is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database that only our team can access, and we keep it until the app launches and you no longer want our emails, or until you ask us to delete it.

To remove your email, email privacy@foodfactsdaily.com from that address (or tell us the address) and we will delete it within 30 days.

Publishing tool: what we collect

When one of our own accounts is connected to the tool through a platform's official login (TikTok, Instagram or YouTube), we receive and store the access tokens that platform issues, the account's basic profile (ID, username and display name), and statistics for videos we posted (views, likes, comments and shares).

We do not collect personal information from people who watch our videos.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses no cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or third-party trackers, and loads no third-party scripts or fonts.

If you arrive through a link with a source tag (for example ?ref=tiktok), your browser keeps that tag in session storage for the current tab so it can be sent with a waitlist signup. It is not a cookie, is never sent unless you sign up, and is cleared when you close the tab.

Publishing tool: how we use it

Only to publish our videos to our own accounts and to measure how they perform. We do not sell, rent or share this data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Publishing tool: storage and retention

Tokens and statistics are stored on our own computer, not on a shared server. We keep them while the account stays connected. Disconnecting an account, or revoking our app's access in the platform's settings, ends our access, and we then delete that account's stored tokens.

Platform data

Data received through the TikTok, Instagram (Meta) and YouTube (Google) APIs is used only as described above and in line with each platform's developer terms. Our use of YouTube API Services is subject to the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke access at Google security settings.

Deletion requests

Email privacy@foodfactsdaily.com and we will delete any data we hold about you or your account, including a waitlist email, within 30 days.
